On Feb 26th we will be gathering together to discuss and learn how to setup and maintain a small website using the Joomla! CMS version 1.5 . We will be discussing Information Architecture and Template Design methods, tips, and ideas. You will also get to meet other people and learn about their experiences about the content management systems.
What is it about?We are going to learn how to:
This will be a group activity, meaning that participants will be exchanging tips and ideas. We will also be answering the questions that you will have about Joomla! and Content Management Systems in general. If you have ideas to present please don't be shy and bring it forward. Who could benefit from this eventThe Information Architecture and Website Administration aspects of our conversation will be useful to anyone who will be using a content management system to maintain their website. That will include Communication Coordinators, Editors, Web Masters, Web Designers, and Web Application Developers who develop for the Joomla! CMS. We will be showing how to design a simple Joomla template and utilize the flexible features in the Joomla CMS template engine, therefore Web Designers and Developers will particularly find these information useful.
