This is a collaborative project done by rmd Studio and JenTekk Web Solutions.

Tazzu.com is an online business, technology, and knowledge networking community which started in Sept. 2006 by Jeanette Duguay from JenTekk Web Solutions and the participation of a community of Technology enthusiasts and professionals. Six months later Tazzu was incorporated as a company by Rastin Mehr and Jeannete Duguay.

The current website ( version 1.5 ) is an online community where Tazzu members share technology tips, develop business ideas, exchange referrals, and make new professional friends.

Technology Infrastructure 

This website consists of 3 different open source web applications: A blog using Wordpress , a community forum using phpBB3 , and the main site is using Joomla! content management system.

These 3 applications use a similar look and feel to create the illusion of a seamless integration, however they are installed loosely enough so that each installation can be independently maintained. This loosely coupled approach has reduced the development and maintenance time significantly, yet provides all the functionalities of these 3 great web applications.

Future of Tazzu

The future Tazzu ( version 2.0 ) will be offering more collaborative web 2.0 style features of a social networking website to its members. Tazzu 2.0 will be powered by the Anahita Project, which is a set of open source building blocks for developing modular social networking websites. Anahita project code is currently being developed by rmd Studio.
