The steep grade descent guideline app is available for iOS and Android devices. It is used as a risk assessment app to minimize the safety concerns for trucks hauling on the steep grades in British Columbia. The calculations are based on the formulas provided by FPInnovations, a result of the study they conducted in cooperation with WorkSafeBC on behalf of the forest industry.
